67 Years

I had the immense pleasure in spending Saturday in Toowoomba helping my beautiful paternal grandparents celebrate their 67th Wedding Anniversary!  What an achievement!  Despite it being an "odd" number to celebrate, they decided (living by my mantra) to celebrate now, live in the moment and not wait for the nice round 70.  Haha.  They obviously spent a lot of time planning and organising, and it was the sweetest day.
First was a lovely little service at the church they attend, where they renewed their vows.  That's commitment for you!  Even after so long, all they want is to reaffirm what they said all those years ago...after a 3 week courtship no less!

Sealed with a kiss (Pop was most embarrassed at the PDA!  Ha So cute!)

My Auntie created the cake.  Grandma is a prize winning cake decorator.  She's made all of her kid's and grandkid's (including mine!) wedding cakes, a million of our birthday cakes over the years, and many many cakes for other people in general.  They are awesome, and DELICIOUS and she has such amazing talent.  Some of which obviously rubbed off on my Aunt!

Having a little dance while another Auntie sang.  They are so cute, and still have so much love for each other after all these years.  So inspiring.  And they went to so much trouble for this party!  Everything was colour coordinated, including them...haha.  It really was a very sweet day,  and an awesome opportunity to catch up with some of my cousins who I see so rarely!
My dad's family, minus my dad.  Love them all.

Such a lovely weekend, and a great way to end what has been a fabulous year for me.

It's really amazing what can happen when you change the way you approach life.  I'm so excited to tackle life head-on moving forward, to continue making changes and to create the life I really want.

Bring it on 2013!!
